About the team
An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Office of the Executive Director, Compliance and Dispute Resolution (CDR). CDR is responsible for providing risk-based regulation which aims to prevent serious harm, protect workers, consumers, patrons & residents and provide a level playing field for businesses. We promote inter-agency cooperation between SafeWork NSW, NSW Fair Trading, the NSW Building Commissioner & co-regulators. We have five workstreams that help us deliver our priorities: Building & Construction Compliance; Work Health & Safety; Construction Services; Health & Safe Design and Chemicals, Explosives & Safety Auditing.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high level business, administrative and support services to facilitate the efficient delivery of business operations and services.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly organised, flexible, proactive team player with experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of operational processes and systems, preparation of reports, correspondence and responses to enquiries as well as providing secretariat support for cross-divisional meetings. Being agile and responding with initiative to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is a key part of this role.
To be successful in this role, you will:- Have strong communication, collaboration and coordination skills, with demonstrated experience working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, preferably with prior experience in supporting a busy executive office or a field based inspectorate.
- Have proven high level of attention to detail and the ability to develop, maintain and update administrative practices, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and have the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, high volume work environment.
- Experience in drafting and preparing quality correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Be able to coach a small team to success
